Bro is a legend. I'm sure everybody comes here specifically for Billy. It's just a New York thing to do, grab one of his hot dog and go. If you're a tourist and is visiting Central Park anyways, this would be a nice snack to scroll along the park. HIs hot dog is fully loaded and ridiculously cheap, even in this economy! When in New York, you need to visit Billy for a hot dog. All the reviews say that this is the place to experience a really good NY hot dog and all of the reviews were right. Billy was very friendly, especially when we told him we had come all the way from LA to try his hot dog cart. He handed us two dogs, both loaded with mustard, kraut and onions. We took our dogs across the street to Central Park, sat on a bench and really felt like we were experiencing New York with each bite. The hot dog was good. Thanks Billy!
Come for the hot dog, stay for Billy! I read the reviews on Yelp beforehand, and KNEW that I had to make a pit stop here while I was near Central Park. It did not disappoint. Billy serves up classic New York Hot Dogs out of his cart parked in a corner across from Central Park. He has all the classic toppings, and serves the hot dogs steaming hot in wrapped foil. His hot dogs are also cheap (in a world where inflation is skyrocketing, his dogs remain extremely affordable for almost anyone). While the hot dog itself is delicious, it is truly Billy himself that makes the experience memorable. He has pictures and cards from his customers hanging on his cart - you can tell that he is well-loved in the community from the myriad Christmas cards that he has displayed! Additionally, he is quick to chat about himself and how he got in the business, but also engages his customers in asking how they are doing and what their plans are. Give Billy's Cart a try, you will definitely not be disappointed!
An absolute classic New York style dog with unbeatable prices and service. The onion sauce and spicy hot dog is a must --I like everything on mine! You can get a dog, chips, and soda for $5. Right off of 86th and Central Park in the beautiful upper west side. Say hi to Billy, he's the best!
